Hotel Placement in the Sports Department
Description
First of all, the internship period is 2-6 months. In general, your main task is the supervision of the international guests during the sport activities. Also, in the hotel there is an information and booking centre with a golf club for all sports activities. Hence, you will learn to work with the booking system and inform the guests about the sports activities. Furthermore, you will support the team in the organization of tournaments in football, beach volleyball, handball and hockey. Also in the organization of weekly sports program you assist and help in the fitness classes. There is also a hotel Bicycle Rental, where you borrow bicycles highest standards of the guests and if you’re athletic, you assist with the bike tours. Some guests are also interested in playing golf. You will advise the guests and are responsible for the cleanliness of the buggies and the clubhouse. Moreover there is an on-site sports shop. There you will be helping out for a few hours a week. You will check the goods receipt, keep the shop clean and help with the sale. Likewise, you should enjoy to communicate with international guests. Additionally, you should be able to automatically integrate yourself into the team and be willing to learn from your more experienced colleagues.
You work 40 hours and have two days off a week. Besides, accommodation and catering in the hotel is free. In addition, you will receive a pocket money of 200 € per month.
Requirements
Firstly, you are studying Sport and planning to do an internship abroad in the hotel industry. In order to do an internship in the Sports Department you should be very open, sociable and above all sporty. Further, you should enjoy dealing with people of all different nationalities and always portray a good mood. Overall, you must have good English skills and basic Spanish skills would be an advantage but aren’t necessary.
